Pregnancy and having a baby is an incredible part of any woman’s life but we also need to be mindful that growing a new human being puts a huge amount of strain on her body. Because of this an expecting or new mother’s nutritional requirements will differ hugely from those before she was pregnant, whilst also being affected by common issues such as morning sickness, heartburn or possibly an impingement on her movement as she comes close to term or after the birth.
The lovely team at Motion Nutrition asked me to contribute my thoughts on this huge topic which lead to this article on the use of protein powders during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.
