Balance should be at the forefront of your mind when thinking about food. Pay heed to featuring a portion of protein & slow burning carbs in your meals & snacks. Don't forget your fats & fibres too. Eat with purpose, snacking because your hungry versus grazing because your tired, bored or dehydrated is a very different story. Finally, enjoy what you’re eating! Positive emotional interaction with a meal equals good energy uptake whereas restriction, anxiety & constraining yourself to ‘should have’ as opposed to ‘would like’ sees stress hormone release & blood sugar fluctuations.
