An unhappy nervous system will scupper all chances of a lean toned physique, stable moods, happy hormones, clean skin & freedom from food cravings. Going caffeine-free first thing is one of the first ways of giving our body’s the opportunity to run properly on things like food for fuel rather than stress hormones. But this is not to say that you must eschew stimulants completely, instead: pick matcha over coffee – it’s kinder & contains L-theanine to soothe jangled nerves; pair with fats in a food/drink, like in these delightful cashew butter cookies, a smoothie with yoghurt, or blend with MCT oil. This balances the intensity of burden on your adrenals & sustains cognitive acuteness far better than going in solo (which equals highs then lows).
