A recipe borrowed from the kitchen of my lovely mother, this is one she tweaked from a traditional festival staple when I realised how much I loved it. Usually made with wine and a few other bits she paired it back to its basic foundations making this delicious creation. I could happily eat it with a spoon for a great, quick snack or serve with fruit salad like I have in the photo for breakfast. Alternatively get creative and add a spoon to supercharge your porridge or yoghurt or use as a spread with great abandon. You can add cinnamon, ginger or anything you fancy, or like me just stick to the original and revel in it 🙂
Finely grate the apples then mix with the ground nuts and you’re done!
