What we eat is incredibly important, but how we eat, why we eat & who we are eating with are also hugely influential factors when it comes to our wellbeing.
Nutritional Therapy approaches each individual from a global perspective considering all elements of their diet but also their lifestyle, environment & emotional state as these all contribute to how well or unwell we then feel.
So whether you wish to address a specific health concern, manage your weight, are training for a sporting event or just want to learn more about how to eat in the best way you can, Nutritional Therapy offers more than just a quick fix. Yes you will eliminate current symptoms but you will also address underlying causes, add pre-emptive measures to prevent future ill health & gain tools to nourish yourself from all angles, not just for a few weeks or months but forever.
Consultation & Packages
Many will ask how many sessions it will take for them to see resolution or improvement in their issues before their initial session. The answer is that it will entirely depend on you as an individual, the longevity of the health concerns you have, the pressures of your lifestyle & numerous other contributing factors.
We can never be 100% certain but your response to the interventions we suggest between your initial consultation & first follow up gives us more insight, so we suggest scheduling your first appointment & then discussing packages with your practitioner in that review session if you would like to opt for 1 of these.
Due to this & the nature of Nutritional Therapy I prefer to describe how we work as less of a ‘Practitioner-Client’ scenario & more of collaboration over a period of time. As such I do tend to find the packages of appointments are more appealing to people, but should you be looking simply for targeted support around a sporting event or similar we do happily offer a ‘Pay As You Go’ option with individually priced sessions too.
The following descriptions provide a few examples, if you are unsure of what will suit you the best please do not worry, this can all be discussed with your practitioner or myself.
Ideal for those who need a bit of a health ‘top up’ or require support for a particular purpose such as a race or sporting event, or preparing for a surgical procedure. Many of our clients will also opt for this option once they have achieved their primary goals to continue to check in, we then tweak their diets to account for the changing pressures that are placed on us at different points in the year such as seasonal allergies or immune support in the winter.
We do offer this to clients looking to conceive & allow the sessions to be split with a partner. Each will receive targeted guidance on how to optimise their health to maximise fertility, & then they can choose either to use the final session together for generalised pregnancy support, or one can attend for both. Due to the fluid nature of a fertility, pregnancy & post natal journey however we often find the 6 & 10 session packages suit better, & we now also offer our new yoga + nutrition packages with Rose who is our Women’s Health specialist & fertility specialist.
This would be our recommendation for anyone with more than 1 distinct issue, perhaps with additional concerns based on their family medical history or elements of their lifestyle that they cannot change but wish to balance out through ongoing support.
This may also be an option for someone looking to manage their weight, improve their emotional relationship with food, remedy disturbed sleep patterns, improve their energy levels & work on other conditions such as raised blood pressure, diabetes/pre-diabetes, increased cholesterol & digestive conditions including IBS.
This package would be the best option for those with chronic health concerns such as autoimmune conditions (Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus etc), acute digestive issues, long term sleep, hormonal or anxiety disorders, inflammatory & pain related concerns, chronic fatigue, mast cell activation/histamine issues, & those who want to lose weight.
The spacing of the sessions will be tailored to your requirements with ongoing email support in between sessions as needed.
